Amazing colourised image from 1920’s (?) of the face to face meeting of Charlie Chaplin and Helen Keller…

Spotted this pic today and was struck by how amazing it was- the colourising is the work of  Mads Madsen, 25, who lives in Denmark, who works by hand using oil paints to bring life back to black and white photos.

This is I am guessing Chaplin, in the 1920’s on a film set looking at his clothes meeting Keller, who was deaf and blind, the result of a childhood illness.

Keller’s life was dramatized into The Miracle Worker, first a Broadway play then a film, in 1962.

Deaf-blind author Helen Keller is seen greeting British actor Charlie Chaplin in 1919 in this newly colorized snap.
